Hey, friend, how’s your day? Hope you’ve found some good in it. Continues to warm up around here. Still not feeling like full-on spring, but certainly warmer than it has been. At least the last of the snow has pretty much disappeared from all but the largest of the mounds piled up over the winter. Quite a few buds appearing, although mostly you still have to look for them. Kind of a secret spring, this. The one that comes before the real thing.
Certainly has been a winter. Long enough, and with enough challenges that any off-hand comment about having made it to spring has a bit of weight to it this year. Don’t think it’s just me. Pretty much everyone’s had enough and is ready to move on to something else. Thunderstorm, heavy winds… No problem, we don’t have to shovel any of that, right? For the moment at least we’ll take just about anything that we don’t have to shovel.
I wonder how you’re making the transition of season. Wondering if it has particular significance for you in any way. I know some people can have a bit of a tough time adjusting to change, and sometimes the movement of the seasons can underline the reality of change, no? Sort of the same way you can look up one day and realize it’s been a year and a half since you last did something you enjoy, or saw someone you liked. I guess the year markers can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but I generally enjoy the movement of the seasons. I can always think of something I enjoy about the season that’s coming. And that’s something to look forward to. But that’s just me. Yes, even when it’s winter coming on.
But for now I’m cheering for spring.
Hope you’re keeping busy enough, at least as much as you’d like. I’m about to go into a couple of projects, so taking a few moments here and there to collect myself. Still not really well enough to take a real workload, but enough to try my hand at a few things. We’ll see how it goes, eh? So now there’s a recording to do, a concert to produce, and a musical to cast and begin rehearsing. And yes, I guess that’s what passes for a partial workload in the arts. But it seems that’s what’s required to move things along, so that’s what’s on the plate.
Speaking of which I should probably go and get some of those things done. Nice to take the break, though. Thanks for the excuse. I’ll let you know how things progress. Meantime, I hope this finds you well.
